According to the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT), the announcement was made after a meeting between Federal Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Amazon’s Project Kuiper team.

Minister Shaza Fatima welcomed Amazon’s decision, saying:

Amazon’s team shared plans to set up ground infrastructure in Pakistan, including:

Gateways and Points of Presence (PoPs)

Reliable broadband connections integrated with Pakistan’s network

Project Kuiper’s 3,236 satellites will deliver internet speeds up to 400 Mbps, using affordable terminals suitable for homes and businesses.
