China Lauds Pakistan Army as Pillar of Stability and Guardian of Pak-China Friendship
China has once again reaffirmed its strong support for Pakistan, calling the Pakistan Army the “pillar of national stability” and the true “guardian” of the Pak–China friendship.
The statement came during a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on August 21, 2025, between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
Both leaders discussed ways to strengthen strategic cooperation and enhance peace in the region. Wang Yi emphasized China’s full support for Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, and economic development, while commending the Pakistan Army for its key role in implementing bilateral agreements.
He described the Pakistan–China relationship as “solid as a rock”, despite global challenges and uncertainties.
In response, Field Marshal Asim Munir assured that Pakistan remains fully committed to safeguarding Chinese projects and personnel within the country. He also referred to China as Pakistan’s “iron brother,” underscoring the unique bond between the two nations.
The meeting concluded with the signing of several agreements aimed at expanding cooperation in security, economy, and development. These accords are expected to further deepen the partnership often described as “higher than the Himalayas, deeper than the oceans, and sweeter than honey.”
This reaffirmation highlights the unwavering commitment of both nations to stand by each other and strengthen their all-weather friendship.
