🌧️ Faisalabad Sets New Rainfall Record with 320mm in 24 Hours
Faisalabad has witnessed record-breaking rain, with 320 millimeters of rainfall in just 24 hours. This marks the highest rainfall in the city’s history, according to the Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) Faisalabad.
WASA Managing Director Sohail Qadir Cheema confirmed that the city experienced heavy showers throughout the day and night. The intense rain caused waterlogging in several areas, but WASA teams immediately launched special measures for drainage.
Cheema said all dewatering sets and sucker machines were fully operational, while officers and field staff stayed on the ground to monitor operations. Thanks to quick action, rainwater was cleared from central intersections and main roads, allowing smooth traffic flow again.
🚧 Quick Response for Citizens
WASA also assured that public complaints are being resolved on priority. The helpline and field teams are on high alert to respond to any emergencies. Cheema added that the agency is fully committed to providing fast and efficient services to ease the difficulties faced by Faisalabad’s citizens.
