Google Launches AI Mode in Pakistan: A Smarter Way to Search
Google has officially introduced AI Mode in Pakistan, powered by Gemini 2.5 technology, bringing users a more natural, interactive, and intelligent way to search online. Unlike traditional search, which often requires breaking down queries into smaller parts, AI Mode can handle long and detailed questions in a single step, making it ideal for trip planning, learning new skills, or product comparisons.
For instance, a traveler can simply ask: “Plan a 5-day Hunza trip with sightseeing, adventure, and local food experiences” and then follow up with questions about restaurants or activities, creating a personalized search journey.
AI Mode also supports a multimodal experience, allowing users to search not only through text but also via voice commands, photos, or uploaded images. With Google Lens integration, someone can take a picture—such as local spices—and instantly ask how they’re used in Pakistani cuisine.
Behind the scenes, Google uses query fan-out technology, breaking down a single question into smaller topics and pulling results from multiple sources simultaneously. Combined with Google’s Knowledge Graph, shopping data, and ranking systems, users receive both AI-generated insights and reliable web links. If AI is uncertain, it reverts to traditional search results for accuracy.
Currently available in English, AI Mode can be accessed through the Google app on Android and iOS, as well as on desktop and mobile browsers. This launch marks a major step in how Pakistanis interact with the web, offering smarter tools for discovering knowledge, planning, and decision-making.
