Health Ministry Secures Allowance Restoration for Federal Hospital Staff

Federal Health Minister Syed Mustafa Kamal has brought good news for employees of the federal health sector.

The Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has agreed in principle to restore the health risk allowance, which had been frozen since 2014.

Meeting with Finance Minister

According to the Health Ministry’s spokesperson, Minister Mustafa Kamal and Federal Secretary Hamid Yaqoob met the Finance Minister this week. They discussed the long-standing demands of staff working in federal hospitals.

After detailed talks, the Finance Minister approved the proposal. A formal summary will now be sent to the Prime Minister for final approval.

Final Step

The Health Ministry has clarified that once the Prime Minister signs, the allowance will be officially reinstated. This step will benefit employees of federal hospitals across Pakistan.
