🌧️ K-Electric Keeps Karachi’s Power Stable During Monsoon Rains

Karachi faced the second day of monsoon rains, but K-Electric (KE) managed to keep its power supply stable. Despite heavy showers in many areas, electricity in most parts of the city continued without major interruptions.

At the peak of rainfall, only 60 feeders out of more than 2,100 went offline. KE shut them down as a safety measure, not due to faults. Once civic authorities cleared the areas, KE teams quickly restored supply.

KE spokesperson Imran Rana said the company has invested for years to prepare for Karachi’s monsoon. “Our system’s stability shows our commitment to reliable power and customer safety,” he added.

KE reminded citizens to stay away from electrical poles, wires, meters, and broken cables—especially in flooded areas.

For emergencies, residents can call the KE helpline at 118. Updates on power restoration are also available on KE’s official social media pages, WhatsApp self-service, and the KE Live app.
