Kia Reveals the 2026 Stonic Facelift with Modern Design and Upgrades
Description: Kia has officially unveiled the 2026 facelift of its popular compact crossover, the Stonic, featuring a sharper design, new interior features, and efficiency-focused powertrain options. The updated model aims to stay competitive in global markets, but its arrival in Pakistan may take time due to market challenges.
Kia has introduced the refreshed 2026 Stonic, a compact crossover known for its practicality and affordability in urban markets worldwide. The facelift brings sharper LED headlights, a redesigned grille, and sportier bumpers, giving the Stonic a more dynamic road presence.
Inside, the cabin has been upgraded with a larger infotainment display, improved connectivity, and advanced driver-assist systems, making it more appealing to modern car buyers. Select international markets will also see the addition of mild-hybrid powertrain options, aligning with Kia’s global push for fuel efficiency and reduced emissions.
The global debut took place on September 1, 2025, with production starting later this year in South Korea and Slovakia. Sales will roll out in early 2026 across Korea and Europe, followed by launches in Australia, the Middle East, and South America by mid-2026. A North American release is expected in late 2026.
For Pakistan, the situation is different. The pre-facelift Stonic, introduced in late 2021 by Lucky Motors, remains available in EX and EX+ trims priced between PKR 5.7 million and PKR 6.3 million. The arrival of the facelifted version is uncertain and may depend on:
Market Demand: Kia has prioritized higher-selling models like the Sportage.
Import Restrictions: CKD limitations could delay launch.
Price Sensitivity: Rising car prices may slow down new introductions.
The Stonic continues to serve as Kia’s entry-level crossover in Pakistan, but buyers looking for the latest upgrades may have to wait until at least 2027 or 2028 for the facelifted version.
