No Bullet Train Project Between Karachi and Lahore, Says Pakistan Railways
Lahore: Pakistan Railways has clarified that no bullet train project is currently planned between Karachi and Lahore, dismissing recent media reports suggesting otherwise.
Officials from the ministry stated that while Pakistan Railways is working on several infrastructure and modernization initiatives, the introduction of a high-speed bullet train service between the two major cities is not under consideration at this stage.
The clarification comes after speculation spread across social media regarding the possibility of a bullet train project, sparking public curiosity and debate.
Authorities emphasized that the focus remains on improving existing railway operations, enhancing passenger facilities, upgrading tracks, and ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable services for the public.
The ministry added that any future mega transport projects would be officially announced through government
channels.
