Pakistani Rupee Records 26th Straight Gain Against US Dollar

The Pakistani rupee (PKR) continued its positive trend in the interbank market on Friday. The local currency gained slightly against the US dollar, marking its 26th consecutive increase.

Interbank Market Update

The rupee closed at Rs. 281.55 against the dollar.

This was an improvement of 1 paisa compared to the previous day’s Rs. 281.56.

In the open market, the US dollar was available at Rs. 282.5 for buying and Rs. 282.8 for selling, according to the Forex Association of Pakistan.

Other Major Currencies

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) also shared the latest updates for other global currencies:

Euro rose by Rs. 1.20, closing at Rs. 330.40.

Japanese yen stayed unchanged at Rs. 1.90.

British pound gained Rs. 1, reaching Rs. 381.56.

UAE dirham moved up slightly to Rs. 76.66.

Saudi riyal remained steady at Rs. 75.04.
