According to the latest Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) data, local mobile phone manufacturing and assembly in July 2025 reached 3.59 million units, showing a 123% YoY and 64% MoM increase. This sharp rise is linked to low base effects caused by supply chain disruptions and pre-buying trends in previous months.
Pakistan produced 17.83 million locally assembled phones during the month, of which 52% were 2G devices and 48% smartphones. Local manufacturing fulfilled 95% of the country’s mobile demand, with leading brands including VGO Tel, Infinix, Itel, Vivo, Xiaomi, Samsung, Tecno, Q Mobile, G’Five, and Nokia.
Analysts expect mobile phone sales to grow by 7-8% YoY over the next 12 months, supported by new smartphone launches and lower inflation. Market players like Airlink Communication (AIRLINK) and Lucky Cement (LUCK) are expected to benefit significantly from this demand surge.
