PEC to Facilitate Pakistani Engineers in Australia

The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has launched a major initiative to open international job opportunities for Pakistani engineers.

Under the leadership of Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir, PEC has partnered with Engineers Australia and received support from the Pakistan Consulate General in Sydney. This step will help engineers from Pakistan enter the growing Australian engineering market.

Webinar for Engineers in Australia

PEC and the Consulate General of Pakistan in Sydney recently organized a webinar. The session was attended by top industry experts and policy leaders.

The webinar guided engineers on:

  • Career opportunities in Australia

  • Professional growth pathways

  • Preparing Competency Demonstration Reports (CDR) for engineers not covered under the Washington Accord

Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

In his remarks, Chairman Engr. Waseem Nazir highlighted the role of PEC’s new CPD Framework.

  • PEC has introduced market-driven CPD courses

  • These courses match global standards

  • They prepare Pakistani engineers for international job placements

MoU with Engineers Australia

To formalize this partnership, PEC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Engineers Australia.

  • Provide smoother access to international career pathways

Global Linkages Division

PEC has also created a Global Linkages Division at its Islamabad headquarters.

This division will:
