Punjab Govt to Build 57,000 Low-Cost Homes for Poor Families

First Phase: 20,000 Homes in 41 Locations

According to the Punjab Housing Department, construction will begin with 20,000 homes in 41 locations across Punjab. The government has also approved the transfer of state-owned land to the Punjab Housing and Town Planning Agency (PHATA) for this project.

The houses will be built in 24 districts of Punjab, with different designs and sizes:

Single-storey units (250 sq. ft.) in 16 districts

Three-storey buildings (530 sq. ft.) in 5 districts
